There are some excellent furniture warehouses in Shanghai, many of them concentrated along Hongqiao Lu on the way to the airport and in western Changning. There is also great value to be had on custom-made items or Asian-style reproduced antiques. Hunting for antique furniture bargains is a favorite pastime for many expats.
